FAQs

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes! Renting a car is 100% recommended if you plan to travel to any other areas of Italy while you are visiting. This gives you the most freedom if you want to explore!

Question

How far is the venue from Rome Airport (FCO)?

Answer

The venue is about a 2 hour drive from the airport. For your convenience, we’ll be offering a shuttle service to and from the airport for guests who prefer not to rent a car. This option will be available for you to purchase, making your travel as easy as possible!

Question

Are there any other ways to get to the venue?

Answer

A train from Rome Airport takes you to Terni, where you can catch a bus that will drop you a 10-minute walk from the venue. The walk, however, is uphill. If you coordinate with other guests, you may be able to have someone pick you up at the bus stop.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

In order to avoid any unforeseen complications such as missed flights, delays or jet-lag, we recommend flying in one or two days prior to September 30th and spending a night or two in Rome.

Question

Where should I go before and/or after the wedding?

Answer

This is entirely up to each guest and what they want out of their trip. Personally, we have been north of the venue to Spello, Assisi & Orvieto and found them all to be quite charming. They are roughly ~45 minutes north of the venue by car, and they are great towns to explore for food, shopping & taking in the culture of Italy. We recommend staying in an agriturismo - which is a family owned farm that is also designed to receive guests for lodging and usually comes with lunch & dinner options as well. These can be found through Airbnb. If you are looking for more of a big city destination - Florence is approximately 3 hour drive north of the venue. We loved Florence! Naples & the Amalfi Coast is a bit more of a hike, 3.5 - 4 hours of driving or ~6 hours of public transport. They are definitely worth it though!
