Great restaurants, coffeehouses, breweries, and shops abound in Downtown Frederick, but if you feel like heading outside the town limits you'll find a plethora of outdoor activities. There's plenty of great hiking at Catoctin Mountain Park (check out the Wolf and Chimney Rock trails) or go scope out the original Washington Monument and hike to Annapolis Rock in Boonsboro for some outstanding views of the Allegheny Mountains.
