Wills and Nichole met at Helen Thackston Charter School, where Wills was going on his third year as a social studies teacher and Nichole was entering her first year as a middle school counselor. It was not until a mutual friend through work had a beginning of the year BBQ for the staff that they really started talking. A connection was made instantly as they began to find that they had a lot in common. Eventually, the two became inseparable.
With Nichole's birthday being February 9th, Wills decided to take her to Philadelphia for the weekend. Saturday, Nichole's birthday, began with Starbucks and an Uber to the Rocky Statue and Philadelphia Art Museum (to which she had never been). After leaving the art museum, they headed to the Barnes Foundation Museum. By the small staircase behind the Rocky statue and away from the crowds, Wills got down on one knee and said "I do not want to go through life without you fighting for me in my corner." Before he could even finish asking, Nichole responded "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
