Point Arena
Point Arena is a small city on the California coast in Mendocino County. It's about 3 hours north of San Francisco on scenic highway 1. There are many things to do in the area, from whale watching to exploring tide pools and even horse back riding. This is just a small list of things to do in the area and we hope you have fun exploring while you're here!
Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands

This is a 5 mile stretch of coastal bluffs has incredible views, sandy beaches, dunes, and an estuary.
Point Arena Lighthouse and Museum

The Point Arena Lighthouse is a great place to catch a glimpse of a migrating grey whale and learn more about the history of the area.
Point Arena Pier

Walk to the end of the Pier to get a good view of the surfers and afterwards, head to the chowder house for a drink and a bite to eat.

Skunk Train

The Skunk Train is about an hour north of Point Arena and would make for a great day trip up the coast to Mendocino.
