Sandy Point is located "Up North" near the remote town of Minocqua, WI. Get ready for a beautiful road trip! To get to the Minocqua area, we recommend that you plan to travel by car/rental car. If it is too far to drive directly from your home, please consider traveling by plane and then car. The following is the list of airports and approximate travel distances from the airport to Sandy Point Resort. We recommend considering flying into a major city (Minneapolis is our go-to, Milwaukee and Madison are great too) as these tend to have more affordable flights with the trade-off of a longer drive. Shuttle from Lake of the Torches & Minocqua hotels

For the Saturday celebration, a school bus shuttle will be looping from AmericInn in Minocqua to Lake of the Torches to Sandy Point before the wedding and after the reception. Full schedule coming soon. Parking is available at the venue for Friday events and for those who drive themselves on Saturday. Rideshares such as Uber and Lyft are very likely UNAVAILABLE in this rural area. Please travel responsibly!

No room block. You should be able to make your reservation for the “rack rate.” Once you get there, you must go into the casino to the Players Club desk and request a Players Club card. Take the card to the hotel to obtain the "Players Club" rate. 14 minute drive to Sandy Point. A school bus shuttle will be looping from AmericInn in Minocqua to Lake of the Torches to Sandy Point before the wedding and after the reception. Full shuttle schedule coming soon.

For those interested in a different experience, there are many vacation places to stay near Sandy Point, including other resorts, Airbnb, VRBO, and camping. If you find a place on Amber Lake and have/rent a boat we will have some limited space on Sandy Point's dock to tie up boats. For the Saturday celebration, a school bus shuttle will be looping from AmericInn in Minocqua to Lake of the Torches to Sandy Point before the wedding and after the reception. Full schedule coming soon. You are welcome to drive yourself, we will have parking available and ushers to show you the way to the ceremony. Uber/Lyft is very likely unavailable in this rural area.
