Garrett and Allison first met in the fall of 2018 after connecting on bumble. After a week of texting and getting to know one another virtually, they decided to meet up in person at Cranbrook. They grabbed coffee and walked around the gardens for hours. They quickly realized that they truly were a match. As much as they could have stayed there all day/night, Garrett had plans in Grand Rapids that evening. The following night they decided to meet up again and from there it was history!

After 3-1/2 years of dating, Allison was anxiously awaiting the day that Garrett got down on one knee. Garrett and Allison try to do date nights once a week and when Garrett suggested on 3/17 that they go to Cranbrook and walk the gardens, Allison suspected something was up. Though let's be real, at that point Allison suspected anything that they do together could be the time that Garrett proposes. As they walked through the Japanese garden, Allison was hoping! As they neared the end she suspected that it wasn't the time. As they exited, Garrett tugged on her arm to get her to turn around to see him down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. Needless to say, it was well worth the wait!
