This tale starts like many others, one man and one woman searching for love. Joshua and Jaclyn lived in Alaska in 2019 and were wondering what the talent pool in their area had to offer. Their Alaskan loneliness got the best of them, so they logged onto the classic dating app SalmonSoulmates.com. Eventually "netting each other" as the app called it, they chatted about life, hobbies, food, and their home states. Though they lived 1.5 hours apart they stayed in contact from time to time. Jaclyn then came to Anchorage to visit friends one weekend and attend a trivia pub crawl that was "The Office" themed. Having each other on social media but still never meeting, Josh noticed while out on the very same pub crawl, that she was at a location nearby. He told his friends they had to hit "this certain bar next" so he could happen upon Jaclyn. Josh walked in and there Jaclyn was in all her beauty and splendor, dressed as Dwight Schrute. Josh was hooked, he wasn't sure if it was the rimmed glasses or Schrute Farms sweater, but nonetheless he made sure to finally approach and meet Jaclyn. They continued to have cheeky chats every so often but never made an attempt to start dating due to life and the distance between them. So instead, Jaclyn finally had enough of Alaska after 8 years and moved home to Massachusetts in late 2020. This is when they finally decided if 1.5 hours was too much why don't they give it a shot across 4,000 miles...seemed fitting. Josh remained in Alaska until July 2021 and during that time Jaclyn would come up there for work visits and they would get together and their relationship started to grow. They booked a trip to see each other in Denver in early 2021 and Josh knew after that trip, he loved her. Josh then had to move to Turkiye for a year, but they made the best of it and didn't let that stop their relationship from growing. After Turkiye Josh had orders to move to Charleston, SC, and Jaclyn would eventually follow which is where they reside today, awaiting Josh's retirement and their eventual move back to New England.
