The Wedding Website of Lydia Vukic and Aaron Williams
Our wedding is taking place in a Florida State Park. We hope you enjoy the natural beauty of the area as much as we do. The Lodge is a historic site. Here are a few fun facts you should know: -The Lodge was built in 1935 by Edward Ball -Fossilized Mastodon, Saber Tooth Tiger, and Giant Sloth bones have been found in the springs as far back as 1850 and archaeologists are still finding fossils today -The park was used as a training site for American troops during WWII - The Creature from the Black Lagoon movies were filmed here -The original Tarzan movies were filmed here -The water in the spring and river is 69 degrees all year round -A giant stuffed alligator named "Old Joe" can be found in the lobby -The original Art Deco elevator still works in the lobby (give it try!) -The Lodge is home to a delicious soda fountain bar! Don't forget to visit it during your stay and treat yourself to a banana split

Take a leisurely stroll around the grounds and soak up the Old Florida feel. Hiking trails, a playground, picnic area, and boat dock are all fun places to check out.
