Dom and I knew of each other for a while through working in the same building, having mutual friends, and later on, working with each other in the same department. We didn't work in the same areas but we would see each other frequently throughout the day since our areas were close to each other. And even with working in the same building (even the same department), it quite literally took Dom telling me he would like to be my friend for us to start talking on a more regular basis than just your polite hello in passing. Despite me being a little shy when meeting new people and making new friends, I gladly accepted his offer of friendship. Everything after is history, as they say, and now we are excitedly counting down the days until we celebrate our love with the people we love the most!
