Do I have to stay on the island the night of the wedding?

No, the last ferry departs at 10:30 pm

Is there parking available at Star Line Ferry?

Answer

Yes, Star Line Ferry offers free day and overnight parking in a separate lot and they offer a shuttle to pick you up and take you to the ferry dock.

Do I need to carry my luggage to the hotel if I stay on the island?

Answer

If you are staying at a hotel on the island, the ferry company will transport your luggage to the hotel for a small fee

How far is the church from the ferry dock?

Answer

A 10 minute walk or you can take a taxi horse for $7 a person, please bring cash if you expect to use the taxi service

Is there transportation from the Church to the reception?

Answer

It is up to you on how you would like to travel to the reception. It is a 7 minute walk between the church and the reception. A horse and carriage will be at the church after the ceremony to take people to the reception. The carriage will transport 12 people at a time and will make multiple trips starting right after the ceremony.

How long is the ferry ride?

Answer

The ferry rides are usually 20 minutes long however a couple times a day they do special trips under the Mackinac Bridge which will take longer. Please refer to the star line ferry for specific departure times.
