Things To Do

For those with time to kill, a list of some of our favorite spots in the city. All are accessible via the Metro or Uber / Lyft.

The Salt Line

79 Potomac Avenue Southeast, Washington, DC 20003

We went here on our first date. Best burger in DC, from a seafood restaurant. There is also a location in Ballston, VA for those who don't want to cross the river into DC.

The Dubliner Restaurant

4 F Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001

Justin and Sarah's favorite place in DC - we went here straight after getting engaged to celebrate. It's the oldest Irish Pub in DC. A staple. If you're a serious person, you will pay it's neighbor, Kelly's Irish Times, a visit after your meal.

Old Post Office Pavilion

1100 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20004

Sarah's favorite building in DC, and where Justin proposed. The best view in town is up in the clock tower, and bonus - it's free! Accessible via metro or rideshare (Lyft / Uber).

Ireland's Four Courts

2051 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22201

Our local Irish pub, a great place for a pint of Guinness for those who don't want to venture into DC.

US Marine Corps War Memorial

Arlington, VA 22209

Just a mile from where we live, it's a great monument with gorgeous views of DC. It is also the end point of the Marine Corps Marathon that Sarah runs each year.

Air & Space Museum

Washington, DC

If you get the chance to sightsee, the National Mall never disappoints. It's an easy rideshare or Metro from Tysons to Smithsonian. Make sure to stop by Justin's favorite museum, the Air & Space Museum.
