Come away with us as we say “I do”

New Year’s Eve December 31st, 2015. House party, staying out late and hanging out with friends. Everyone is excited to ring in the new year and just happy to be in this moment together. This night was the first time Taylor and Ben met through a connection to their mutual friend. Ben walked in and almost immediately introduced himself to Taylor. They engaged in some small talk, but neither of them were prepared for where the rest of the night would take them. Small talk turned into laughter, into any and all questions to learn more about the other and then into intimate conversation. Before they knew it, the sun was coming up on the first day of 2016 and they hadn’t left each others’ sides. Flash forward, they were inseparable for almost 3 years. As they were growing older and trying to navigate into adulthood, life was becoming more complicated. They tried their best to adjust but ended up parting ways in the end. Taylor moved to Hubert, North Carolina and Ben moved to Ocean City, Maryland, both of them just trying to figure out life. Another almost 3 years later, after failed relationships on both sides and constant wondering about where the other was and what they were doing, Taylor reached back out to Ben with a heavy heart and deep regret. After reconnecting, it wasn’t long before they realized they were still in love and ready to recommit. Ben picked up his life and moved it down south to be with her. Though some things had changed and they both had grown, the relationship was almost effortless. It was as if they were kids again and nothing had ever separated them. They both knew the reason for all the failed relationships in between were because they were comparing them to a love they had already known - knowing they could never match the love they found within each other. Life isn’t perfect and it surely wasn’t a perfect love story.. But in the end the love they have for each other could never be as strong as it is today without the life lessons they learned along the way. They bought a home in 2022 and share it with their two pets, Remi and Boo. And now they’re both so excited to begin their lifelong commitment to each other. Turns out life gets messy and perfect love stories are rare, but their story is perfect for them and they couldn’t be happier!
