I first met Nick when I was still a junior in high school in 2011. He was friends with my older brother, Thomas at TCU and would often hangout at our house. I always noticed how kind and polite he was. In 2017, I was a senior in college at SMU and was spending some time at home in Southlake. I remember Nick was over and hanging out with my brother as usual. I had my beloved dog Brody with me. Nick casually asked me if we could get his parents' dog Shiner and Brody together sometime for a playdate as they were both Australian shepherds. We exchanged phone numbers and started talking daily. We realized we had a lot more in common than just our love of dogs.
I first met Veronica at one of Thomas’ Birthdays sophomore year of college but it wasn’t until years later that we actually chatted. Over a dinner at the Williams’ house, she mentioned her Australian shepherd, Brody. We both began talking about our love of the breed as I was living at home with my parents and their Australian shepherd, Shiner. After about 8 months of sending photos of the dogs we finally hung out in person, and the rest is history.
