"We first met at Oklahoma State University, two weeks before our freshman year of college classes started. We were in the Residential Leadership College program that included teamwork building, developing leadership skills, philanthropy and volunteer work -- everything to prepare incoming freshmen for leadership roles within OSU's residential community. Tristan and I happened to be placed in the same group for the week with about 30 other students. We didn't talk to each other until the very last day and we hit it off. The following week we began to run into each other, whether it was at the student union or the campus convenience store, we always seemed to cross paths. Eventually, thanks to our mutual friend Michael (who was also our RLC group leader), we started dating. On September 21st, Tristan and I made our relationship official at the Oklahoma State Fair. We've been together ever since. I remember talking with my mom the weekend before I met Tristan, while we were moving me into my dorm room, that I just might meet my future husband this week and she just smiled.
