Our Story

Jon and Amanda met on a fifty degree day in February 2021. Their first date was a walk at Marbury State Park, where Amanda almost crashed her car into a snow mound and was later ran over by an 8 year old on a scooter (no person or property were harmed). Despite the aforementioned events, and both Jon and Amanda slipping nearly every 5 seconds on the remaining ice patches throughout the trails, the date was a success. The conversation was endless and it was the kind of date you go home and immediately tell your friend about. For their next date, Jon told Amanda he was going to take her to Cracker Barrel. Amanda questioned Jon’s sanity and her safety. Turns out, Jon meant the Wagon Wheel bar in Northville. Because that place was busy and nearly everywhere else was closed, they ended up at Rocky’s on 7 mile with a bunch of elderly couples. Somehow, they had the best time ever. For Jon and Amanda, the adventures kept going. They’ve experienced everything from an avalanche while hiking in Seattle to swimming in shark infested waters in Myrtle Beach. Amanda somehow managed to complete her second degree in nursing and Jon kept trekking along on his degree in information systems along the way. Their greatest adventure came in 2024 - a ray of sunlight and a tornado at the same time named Suzana. She has been their most incredible blessing and love. They are so grateful to have their sweetheart be a part of this special day. We cannot wait to see and celebrate with everyone!
