In 2011, David started his first day at Wheeler Middle School in Oahu, Hawaii and was assigned to the same homeroom class as Megan. Both their fathers were in the U.S. Army and were stationed at Schofield Barracks. After spending time getting to know each other, we became close friends. We graduated 8th grade as co-valedictorians before going their separate ways when Megan's dad was assigned a new duty station in New York. Hand written letters, skype calls, and numerous text messages kept the friendship strong through the 4 years of high school spent apart. Shortly after graduating high school David flew 1,400 miles to visit Megan and her family in Massachusetts. So far we have been to 17 states and lived in 4 different states together. Travelling is in our blood being from military families so we hope to continue to travel the world together. A first kiss was shared. And so did the start of forever. We are extremely excited to share and celebrate the start of our life as a married couple!

For those of you who do not know, David proposed to Megan in Hawaii where they first met. David reached out to Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, the Disney+ TV show and they helped pull off the ultimate underwater proposal. Our family members were all able to celebrate at Disney's Aulani Resort and Spa together for the first time since meeting in 8th grade. The full proposal is available to watch on Disney+.
