We met through our mother's and our brother's when we were kids. Our mothers were best friends, and our brother's were best friends. Beth, Matthew’s mom, was my babysitter when I was in Elementary School. Matthew and I used to play video games, and cars together. When I, Nichole, was 12 years old, Matthew asked me to be his girlfriend, but I wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend, but truth be told I was naive, I didn't know how I'd communicate with Matthew since he is Deaf. So, unfortunately I broke his little heart, so he says, I turned him down, and lied and told him I already had a boyfriend (I didn't). Years passed, our families grew apart, we didn't see each other up until 2013. We hadn't been in contact for a few years. Then my car broke down and I needed a mechanic. Matthew came to my rescue. We began talking about my car and what it needed and then our conversations became more frequent, I found myself enjoying our texts back and forth. Not gonna lie, things moved pretty fast. My mom always wanted Matthew and myself to be together. We kept talking, spent holidays together, and became official on November 21, 2013, which was Thanksgiving. Our first date was a trip to the Reid Park Zoo Lights with Lulu. Matthew wanted to include my babygirl in our first date. It was amazing. I knew from that moment that he was still the same amazing kid I knew years ago. Fast forward to December 25, 2018, Matthew popped the question. We set a Wedding date of February 2021, but Covid ruined that. And here we are in 2022, wanting an intimate Wedding with our closest family members in attendance. And that's where we are at. We'll be getting married Monday November 21, 2022 in Gilbert, AZ and we cannot wait. I can't wait to continue this love story of ours for the rest of our lives.
