In March 2024, we met on the dating app, Hinge. Our first date was at Woodburn Brewery in East Walnut Hills. It almost seems fitting that a boy from the Westside and a girl from the Eastside found each other. A true Cincinnati love story. After Caitlin met Lucy and got her approval, by April 6th we were officially dating. Summer 2024 was full of adventures, like seeing the B-29, FiFi at Lunken Airport and Luke teaching Caitlin how to golf. The year 2025 was full of change. Our relationship grew stronger and our little family grew when we adopted Sgaeyl. Luke's six month deployment was not for the faint of heart. But the videochats and the good people at USPS in Mt. Washington, who never let a care package go missing, made it easier. In fact, our relationship grew stronger and more resilient. To top it all off we then got engaged in December! Even early on, we spoke about our future marriage, future home (a 1940s craftsman or older with a garage), and future children. We just seemed to fit together. Coming home to each other is the best part of the day. If we had a word to describe our relationship, it would be easy. Our love is easy and constant. That does not mean there aren't disagreements, it means that regardless of those, we show love and kindness. If Luke wants Skyline for the 3rd time that week, Caitlin will go with him, but then stop at Kroger for sushi on the way home. Our love is kissing each other goodbye in the morning and ALWAYS saying “I love you” when we feel it. It is cooking dinner and watching way too many house restoration shows together. It is doing the most mundane errand, but having the best time because we get to do it with our best friend right by our side. On 10/10/2026, our Cincinnati love story gets to start its next chapter at Union Terminal. It only seems fitting that we get to be in such a beautiful place celebrating with the most supportive family and friends. With Love, Luke and Caitlin
