Our Story
Bill and Michelle first met on CatholicMatch in November 2023, just after Michelle moved from Alaska to Troy, NY to fulfill her dream of living in the region. Bill invited Michelle to spend Christmas in Syracuse, and a month later they officially started dating. At first, they could only meet up at most once per week because work obligations minimized the travel they could commit to each week. However, after four months of bouncing between Troy and Syracuse, Michelle moved to Syracuse in May 2024 with a new job offer (at the same company Bill previously worked at for three years), and their relationship became more committed. Their connection continued to grow through shared adventures such as hiking all over Upstate NY, kayaking in multiple Finger Lakes, and volunteering at various church activities, and Bill quickly realized that Michelle was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
On January 16, 2025, Bill proposed to Michelle at Nine Mile Creek in Camillus, NY
...on the same snow-covered trail that they first walked together on Christmas Eve during their first encounter. Michelle happily said yes!
...and the two immediately left for their planned trip to Alaska to see her family, now with even greater news to share!
The two cannot wait to celebrate their wedding with you in September!
