William’s simple “Howdy” was all it took to catch Vidalla’s attention. At the time, William was working in Illinois, and while the long distance was tough, they made it work. When he returned home to Westland in April 2023, they officially started dating. Seven months (and countless three-hour round-trip drives) later, they moved in together. A year and a half after that, they rented their very first apartment. Fast forward to September 16, 2025—Vidalla’s birthday. Surrounded by friends at her dinner party, William got down on one knee and proposed. Throughout their journey, William and Vidalla have pushed each other to grow and build a future together. They may be known for playfully insulting each other, but underneath the banter is a love that runs deep. Whenever life knocks one of them down, the other is always there to help them back up—after a good laugh, of course. They are truly each other’s best friend.
