VISA INFORMATION

Citizens of ECOWAS member states and some other countries in Africa are exempted from obtaining a visa before entering Ghana for up to 90 days. Nationals from African Union member states who are not ECOWAS nationals may obtain a visa on arrival. Similarly, holders of diplomatic/Service passports of selected countries, persons in direct airside transit, as well as holders of official passports of some specialized agencies listed in the Visa Regime of Ghana are exempt from obtaining a visa. All other non-Ghanaian citizens entering Ghana must be in possession of a valid passport or other travel document and a valid visa to enter Ghana. Please consult with your local Ghanaian diplomatic mission to obtain a visa. Please confirm current visa requirements relative to your citizenship.

An International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required on arrival in Ghana from all travelers older than 9 months.

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

All international arriving passengers to Ghana must possess a COVID-19 negative PCR test from an accredited facility in your country of origin. The test should have been taken less than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight. International passengers are also required to take a COVID-19 test at the airport upon arrival in Ghana. The cost of this test is borne by the passenger as paid for prior to boarding the flight to Accra. The costs are: Ghanaians and ECOWAS nationals - $50 All other nationals - $150 Passengers with positive test results will be required to isolate in state mandated facilities.
