Suzanne sold Bill a car. Bill named it The Precious. He paid $600 dollars for it and drove it for about a year. They hung out with mutual friends and talked about their shared passion for rock climbing and the outdoors. Then Suzanne moved away. After a year, she was back and she called him to ask about buying the car back. Her mom convinced her she needed something safer. So she bought a Volvo instead. Fast forward a few years, and our mutual friend Jen made certain that we reconnected at her husband Nick's birthday party. We started talking in the kitchen and for nearly two hours, no one came inside the house. Not for food, not for the bathroom, not for anything. They just let us talk. The next weekend we rented kayaks and paddled the Willamette River. It's been a lifetime of adventures ever since and we can't wait to share this next one with you!
After living together 11 years in 12 homes in 3 countries, Bill surprised Suzanne in Baja with an impromptu proposal while on a sunset beach walk. Stunned, she answered by asking a string of her own questions, at which point Bill reminded her that she just needed to answer the question. To which she said yes, si, ja, all the yesses.
