A family staple and an Atlanta must-do! Copy Susannah's order of a cheese dip and pork enchiladas with green chile sauce, or try one of their excellent weekly specials. No matter what, make sure you order some house margaritas!
Not feeling fancy? Want a good burger and a good beer? Feel like sitting in the same booth that Pat Conroy or Johnny Cash sat in? Come on down to George's, Janet's go-to bar since college!
Not far from our venues and hotels is the national historic park and final resting place of Martin Luther King Jr., Atlanta's most important and influential person! The park includes the King Center, MLK's birthplace, and the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Admission is free!
In the mood for more history? The Atlanta History Center provides a fascinating walk through Georgia's history from prehistory to the modern era! Fun fact: Susannah interned here in the summer of 2016. She particularly recommends the Tullie Smith Farm (Civil War Era), the Swan House (roaring 20s mansion), and the Olympics exhibit! Tickets are $10 for children and $23 for adults.
An all-time favorite and an Atlanta must-see! There's SO much to do here, but we recommend the Canopy Walk (look for the Mother Nature waterfall topiary!), the Japanese Garden, and the Conservatory and Orchid House. Advance Online Tickets are $23 for adults and $20 for children.
Come for the food hall and shopping, stay for the people watching! There's a million and one things to do at Ponce City Market--and if you're willing to pay for the ticket, you can enjoy minigolf and carnival games on the roof with unbeatable views of Atlanta!
If you get tired of shopping at Ponce City Market or feel like wandering a little more after the Botanical Garden, head to the Beltline! We recommend the Eastline trail that runs from Piedmont Park to Inman Park, mostly because of the views and the ample shopping and eating opportunities (hit up Jake's for ice cream or New Realm Brewing Co for beer!).
