If you know us, you know how much we enjoy sports and how much time we have spent either watching and/or playing. At our core, that is who we are -- avid sport junkies! As such, it is no coincidence that we met while playing softball in middle school gym class. We were randomly assigned teams and it just so happened we were both placed on the same team. We ended up both being in the outfield and standing next to each other. We didn't know each other yet but Will turned to Sidney and said, 'Bet that you can't get the next one that comes out here!' Not knowing how fiercely competitive Sidney was, she was ready to prove him wrong (little did he know she had been playing softball her whole life!) Hilariously, the next ball that was hit was directly to Will and it went straight through his legs allll the way to the back of the football field. We both crack up and end up dying of laughter as we chase after the ball and the batter gets an inside of the park homerun. From that day forward, a friendship was quickly developed and the rest is history...

The year of 2020... the year that the world was changed... the year that our world was turned upside down. The bright light of it all, we got engaged!!! After 11 years of dating, Will proposed to Sidney! Posed as a fake photo shoot (often very common during the quarantine months by local photographers), Will got down on one knee at Franklin Park Conservatory and asked Sidney to marry him. This spot is really special to the couple as it was where the couple went for homecoming and prom photos. After the proposal, Will surprised Sidney with a dinner at Jeff Ruby's downtown. She thought that the dinner was just for the two of them, however, Will surprised Sidney again! In a private room, complete with decorations and customized menus, both of their immediate families joined together for an amazing dinner to celebrate! After the dinner, Sidney thought that they were heading back to the house to have dessert with just the families but upon entering the door to the house, it was romantically designed (with the help of her sisters and best friends) and a surprise party was waiting for the two! Their closest friends and family gathered for a night of celebration made complete with plenty of desserts, dancing, and laughter. A night we will truly never forget!
