How We Met

Let's start at the beginning. We originally met when we were younger whilst I played softball with his sister (Raygan) growing up. Fast forward through some hardships and bad relationships for both him and I throughout the years. He spent a lot of time on the road working pipeline except in free time he would come home to see his friends and family. He had been asking my sister about me for a while. I wasn't sure if I was ready for another relationship. My sister (Caitlin) would not accept no for an answer, and neither would his friend (Logan). You see those two plotted for us to end up together. She gave him my number and I scowered his socials, friends of friends trying to find out how he possibly got it. Until finally the culprit (my sister) admitted to what she had done. I entertained the conversation, my sister said to me "What could it hurt go out with him once and see what happens." So, I did. Met him at a local chinese restaurant around town. He caught my attention right off with his Led-Zeppelin t-shirt. We awkwardly picked a place to sit. Neither of us ate a single thing on our plates. You see I don't do well with social scenes and new people and well he was just hung over... We then went for a drive and talked all kinds of music. He broke out his banjo and played me a tune... (not going to lie that didn't do it for me) and eventually found ourselves in a field that belonged to a mutual friend (we didn't know was mutual at the time) that night. We parked and laid down the seats to the trunk of his car. We laid in the trunk of his car almost all night.... odd right. But we did. We sat and watched the stars as he named every constellation and galaxy, we talked for hours on end about any and everything you could possibly imagine. He went back on the road a day later and stayed on me until I came out to Sinton, Texas for us to see each other again. his reasoning you ask, well it was the corniest thing, but it worked. ("I need you like I need oxygen to breath.") I took the chance and went and well the rest is history.
