DC has amazing museums - so many of which are free! The portrait gallery is one of our favorites. Don't miss the presidential portraits and the amazing courtyard. If you get hungry, grab a burger or shake at Shake Shack at 8th and F NW on your way out.
There are four SoulCycle's in DC, but MTVN is Noelle's favorite. Ultimately, it's about the instructor. Jared is her absolute favorite. We're planning a December 26 ride for Noelle's 30th as well!
This is where Noelle teaches. If you are looking for some zen, ESY is the ultimate escape from city life.
Old Ebbitt is a classic! Stop in on your way to or from a look at the White House and National Christmas Tree. Whether for dinner or just drinks and some oysters, it's worth the visit.
FESTIVE! Not only is Filomena great for Italian food, but it goes all out for Christmas. In the heart of Georgetown, this is a great spot for a warm winter meal (especially pre or post some excellent Georgetown shopping along M Street).
Another amazing free DC museum - The National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC has thousands of objects on display, including the 1903 Wright Flyer, Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis, and a lunar rock you can touch. In addition to its exhibition galleries, you may want to visit the Albert Einstein Planetarium, Lockheed Martin IMAX® Theater, and the Public Observatory on the east terrace.
The Archives typically draws a crowd, but this is a great time of year to visit. The Archives is home to the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights.
One of DC's favorite restaurants - Le Dip is always good, if not easy to get a reservation. Experience the 14th Street nightlife with dinner at Le Dip and wander down the street for drinks before (and/or) after.
The Mall is a great place to jog - any time of day. Head up 9th Street to Jefferson Drive and turn right (toward the Capitol) OR left (toward the Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial), and start exploring!
Grab a cocktail or two and one of the best views of the White House!
The Library of Congress is the largest in the world. The Jefferson building is home to one of three remaining perfect vellum copies of the Gutenberg Bible. The Library's main reading room is a site to be seen.
DT is one of our favorite breakfast - yes breakfast - spots. The tacos are amazing. If you're coming on the weekend, explore Eastern Market's shops, too - or skip the tacos and opt for Eastern Market's famous Blue Bucks Pancakes.
