Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Attire is Black Tie optional. It is requested that guest wear black, shades of red or shades of blue only in honor of the 4th of July weekend.

What is "black- tie optional"?

Answer

Black-tie optional is when the couple wants guests to dress up but doesn't want to require ultra-fancy attire. For women, this generally means a full-length silhouette or a dress closer to the knee (since it will be hotter). For men, a tux isn't required but welcomed.

Can I wear other colors besides black, shades of red, and shades of blue?

Answer

The bride and groom ask all guests to honor their wishes of attire to celebrate the 4th of July weekend.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes!! The awesome thing about the venue is that there are accommodations on site! If you would like to stay and not have to worry about driving home AND be in walking distance (LITERALLY) to the festivities, please stay at our amazing venue! The Olde Mill Inn 225 Route 202 Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 908-221-1100 Give them our last names for the wedding block [Van Eck/Nehlsen]. ***Hotel block will be lifted on 5/28/23.***

Question

Will you have a welcome party for out of town guests?

Answer

Yes! It will be held at The Grain House right next to The Olde Mill Inn! There is no host for this event (though we will make a reservation for your party on your behalf so we can all be in the same area). If you would like to come say hello our last night as fiancés, we would love to see you! You can let us know you are going when you RSVP on our website (the sooner you tell us the better so we ensure there is enough room for your party). Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

The hotel accommodations are in the same building as the ceremony- so we recommend everyone book your rooms at The Olde Mill Inn so you don't have to worry about driving after you have been partying the night away with us!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommended that guests arrive 15 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception take place inside or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will take place outside. The outside space will also be open during the cocktail hour and reception for you to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful outside space our venue offers.

I have a food allergy. What should I do?

Answer

We completely understand, and have tried to make accommodations with this in mind! If you do not see an accommodation in the dinner selections while you RSVP, please let us know and we will be sure to make revisions for your needs.

Are you registered? If so, where?

Answer

We have decided to have cash funds in lieu of a typical physical registry. We are hoping to save money for our Honeymoon and a New Home. The cash funds can be found right in the “registry” toggle bar on the top!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

How can we share/see videos and pictures taken during the wedding?

Answer

We will be using The Guest- a easy way to share pictures you take into a group album. Join this link through your smart phone: http://in.veri.com/to/melissawilliam2023?t=e and once the event starts, any pictures you take will be shared to the album so we can see them! You can turn off sharing at any time during the event! We hope you will join us in saving these memories of the greatest day of our life!

What if I don’t RSVP?

Answer

To help us with our planning, we kindly ask that you RSVP by the date we've provided. If we don't receive your RSVP by the date specified, we can't make exceptions and will have to mark you as "no". We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner, and we don't want to risk any hiccups in the planning process. Thank you for your understand and help on making this a smooth process!
