Things To Do

Here are a few of our favorite restaurants and other things to do in Charleston! Where possible, we recommend getting a reservation. You'll also be located near some beautiful beaches (Folly Beach, Isle of Palm, and Sullivans Island to name a few).

The Darling Oyster Bar

513 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403

Great oysters and cocktails. I had dozens of each last time I went.

167 Raw Oyster Bar

193 King Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Great seafood and for our guests coming from Massachusetts, the same owners as 167 on Nantucket.

Mac's Place

215 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Chicago themed dive bar for our guests coming from the Midwest. They also sell hot dogs, if you want to really hate yourself the next day.

Magnolias

185 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401

More upscale sit down dining. Often an older crowd (looking at Doreen and Bill for this recommendation)

Rainbow Row

83-107 E Bay St, Charleston, SC 29401

Colorful row of homes on E Bay street. Worth taking a look if you are taking a walk through downtown Charleston.

Poogan's Porch

72 Queen Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Southern food located in an old Victorian home.

Aquarium Wharf (SC Aquarium)

Aquarium Wharf, Charleston, SC

There's fish in tanks rather than on your plate.

Pineapple Fountain

Pineapple Fountain

1 Vendue Range, Charleston, SC 29401

It's a fountain that looks like a Pineapple. No clue why it exists, but you can go see it in person if the photo I included doesn't do it for you.

Waterfront at Shem Creek

130 Mill Street, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464

There's several restaurants that overlook the creek, or as the locals say "the crick"* *I don't actually know what the locals say

USS Yorktown CV-10 (Museum)

40 Patriots Point Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464

This museum is located right next to the hotel/venue. The aircraft carrier was not used in the new Top Gun movie, but go ahead and tell your friends it was. They won't fact check you.

Barrier Island Ecotours (Dolphin and Wildlife Tours)

50 41st Avenue, Isle of Palms, SC 29451

Very fun boat tour around Isle of Palm. You'll likely see a lot of marine life and some smaller islands off the coast.
