Wedding Ceremony Update

Change in Venue

4:00pm St. Joseph's Catholic Church 349 S. Main Street Monticello, UT 84535 COVID restrictions have been lifted allowing us to be married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Monticello, Utah. Our original wish was to be married here, so thank you for being flexible with our plans. Reception will follow immediately after the ceremony at Long Canyon Ranch.

Our Story

Picture this: It's 2019 in Austin, Texas. The pandemic is nowhere in sight. Madelyn is a nurse who has recently moved to Austin, and Will is a medical student limping to the end of his medical school rotations. Like many modern love stories, a dating app brings them together. For anyone currently using dating apps, we recommend reaching out to Madelyn for tips -- she matched with Will her first day on the app and had her last first date shortly thereafter! Starting on the patio at Haymaker, they got so lost in conversation that Will nearly forgot to pay the tab before they headed to Pinthouse Pizza for dinner. After raving to their friends about each other, quickly going on a second date, tearing it up at Will's medical school prom, and ending the week at Sunday Mass, they never looked back. Fast forward two years later, and Madelyn and Will's relationship had thrived through a global pandemic, the birth of two nephews, Will's residency application process, and Madelyn's two months working on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona in a COVID unit. Will made sure to propose to Madelyn the day before learning where they were moving for the next three years (in case Madelyn had to follow him to the Children's Hospital of Siberia). And she said yes! Madelyn and Will cannot wait to start their lives together as they move to Baltimore this summer. We are so happy to invite you to celebrate this new chapter of our lives with us and our families at our wedding!

COVID Request

We care deeply about the safety of our friends and family. So, as healthcare providers, we are ecstatic about the recent availability of the COVID-19 vaccines to the general public! We feel more comfortable having our wedding and reception due to the protection afforded to our guests by the vaccine. On that note, we have a request for all of our guests. If you are over 18 and eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, we request that you do so before our wedding. If you are unable to obtain the vaccine in time or do not wish to receive a vaccine, we kindly request that you wear a mask for the duration of the ceremony and reception. Feel free to reach out to Madelyn or Will individually if you would like to ask any follow-up questions regarding this request. We love you all, and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!
