We decided to do something different.. we're going to tell a little bit of our story, in two parts: my part, Lavinia's, and William's part. In 2023, I decided to leave Brazil to do an exchange program in the USA to learn English. Amidst all the difficulties and adapting to a new country, a new language, etc., I decided to join a gym. And yes, Billy was there. A few months later, he decided to say hello to me, and after a few conversations, we decided to have our first date. Weeks later, he asked me to be his girlfriend in Portuguese, at 5 in the morning! How could I say no, lol. Since then, we've been experiencing incredible things together. But there's no time to tell everything here, but I hope to see you at our wedding to be a part of this story that is just beginning. Now, for my part of our story ... If you have ever heard me talk about my life, and if I ever thought about getting married, you would know that I was never actively looking. Early last year, I saw someone new start coming to the gym regularly. Her beauty caught my eye, but what I was really impressed about was her hard work and determination in exercising. I thought to myself that there is something different about her and wanted to get to know her. After a couple of my friends gave me some, we'll call them motivating pep-talks, I mustered up enough courage to speak to Lavinia. After a couple of weeks and a few conversations, I had asked her to dinner. Even though I was nervous on our first date, there was an easiness and calmness being around her. We were able to open up to one another about our past and our future. A few more weeks and dates went by, and I knew that I wanted her to be more to me, so I asked her to come over to my house before going to the gym. She was hesitant to come over then, because who asks someone over at 5 in the morning, but she agreed anyway. After stumbling over my words, and restarting a few times, I finally asked for her to be my girlfriend in Brazilian Portuguese. Since then, we have been growing closer to each other . At the end of last year, we decided that we want to start our lives together, and we are excited to celebrate with you all.
