Our story began in the world of emergency medicine — with Lauren working as an ER nurse and Will in paramedic school. What started as shared shifts and long conversations slowly became something steady and undeniable. There’s a certain cliché about falling for the firefighter, but what we found in each other wasn’t flashing lights — it was a calm presence, a quiet strength, and a love that felt like home. Over the past four years, we’ve built a life side by side — shaped by long nights, early mornings, spontaneous adventures, and quiet evenings in between (usually with Goose nearby). We’ve learned that love isn’t just found in grand gestures, but in consistency, patience, and choosing one another every single day. In March 2025, beneath the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C., we got engaged. Surrounded by the soft bloom of spring, it felt like everything was gently falling into place — a season of new beginnings reflecting the life we were ready to build together. Colorado has always been a place we dreamed of exploring hand in hand. Choosing the mountains of Crested Butte for our vows represents adventure, intention, and stepping forward together. West Virginia represents the people who have loved us, supported us, and shown us what enduring partnership looks like.
