It was Sunday yoga at the local brewery. With the purchase of a session, a free cold one is given to each participant after class. William and Kristin, two strangers in a mixed crowd of mutual acquaintances and new faces; sweaty from stretching, buzzed from the beer, and a convenient crease in the couch between them, causing their bodies to fall into one another like old friends. "How long have you two been together?”, the other couples would ask. "We just met today actually”, they’d both simultaneously say. Conversation between them flowed supernaturally, as if they had known each other in another world. And when it was time to say goodbye, some sort of spirit seemed to nudge William’s little peanut head into Kristin’s, for a kiss that would be the start of a lifetime together. That day is now known as "Date Zero”.
