We know you want the details! We were introduced at a bonfire during Covid (2020). Since we couldn't do anything else, TJ (Willie's coworker) and Amanda (Katie's coworker) hosted a bonfire on their farm and the rest is history! 4 years later-let's make it official!

Charleston, SC-After walking around downtown all morning in 100 degree heat we headed to Sullivans Island. We found a little stretch of beach to walk-Willie was refusing to even put his feet in the water. I was having a marine biology moment finding crabs, fish, driftwood, and seashells. We walked out on a jetty-Willie was very concerned that I was going to fall (a proposal doesn't look so great if your girlfriend falls off the jetty and hurts herself). Willie asked "Is there anything that would make this trip better?". In typical Kate fashion I responded "A big cup of ice water with the good ice-ya know the pebble ice." I turned around and he was down on one knee-with the ring he had been walking around with in his pocket all morning wrapped in a tissue (no box-just a tissue). Guess it was a good thing he didn't get in the water. Surprisingly after my marine antics and request for ice water and being totally oblivious to what was about to happen (still mad at all you girls who let me go on this trip and didn't make me get my nails done) he still wanted to marry me.
