I showed up at the North Carolina General Assembly for a job interview with David Cobb - William's brother. When I knocked on the office door, William answered it. We exchanged a few words and David informed me that William also worked there. If I wasn't certain beforehand that I wanted the job, I was now. When friends asked me how my interview went, I was sure to mention that I met my potential future husband. Upon being hired, William and I spent many hours together as he showed me the ropes.
After having dinner in Downtown Raleigh, William convinced me he needed to run by his office at the General Assembly to get something. Once we got inside, I thought he was acting suspiciously, but I tried not to read into it. After reminiscing on our two years spent together at the GA, he got down on one knee.
