Our Love Story

12/31/2022

The day our conversations began, we had no idea of how our journey would unfold, especially considering we had known each other for over a decade. Our initial encounter took place in 2015 through mutual friends. At that time, both of us were in separate relationships, which limited our interactions to mere acquaintances. Fast forward to December 2022, on New Year’s Eve, while enjoying time outside with our separate friend groups, I noticed Gaelle’s Instagram story and decided to reach out via direct message to inquire if she was single. She responded she was single but mentioned she was not ready to date as she had recently had just ended a relationship. Despite this, I was determined and continued the conversation, suggesting we meet in person. After seven years, we finally reunited. I brought her flowers, and we enjoyed a lengthy conversation at her shop. Unfortunately, later that week, she contracted COVID-19. Still very persistent while she had Covid-19, I took her out to a restaurant called The Watermark, under the bridge. The ambiance was beautiful, and we had an incredible conversation once again, with that night ending in our first kiss. From that moment, we pursued a relationship with each other, with the first 5 months initially having to be long distance being that I had to depart to attend the academy to start my profession as a federal officer. After those 5 months past, everything escalated quickly, we moved in with each other, we embarked on our first vacation together to Bali. As June 2023 approached, with her birthday on the horizon, I realized that Gaelle was the person I wanted to spend my life with. I began planning a surprise trip to Jamaica without her knowledge. Once we arrived, I discreetly arranged a private dinner with a photographer for the following day. As I prepared for the proposal, nerves washed over me. On the beach that evening, I knelt down, uncertain of her response, and to my delight, she said yes.Soon after, that November we were blessed to welcome a new addition to our family, our handsome son, Noah Jordan! Two years later, our journey has brought us to this moment—the wait is over, and we are getting married!
