I met William while working at a movie theater in 2007. I remember loving to make him laugh. His laugh was always explosively contagious. You couldn't help but laugh when he did. He would come and visit and work for a summer and I was always excited to see him when he would come back. Years later we had reconnected through Facebook. I confessed to him that I always had somewhat of a crush on him. He seemed very shocked by that. When he left to go back to Indiana for school, we decided to stay friends. Throughout the last 7 years, we have remained friends. Popping in and out of each other's lives. He tutored me in math, and I kept making him laugh. He was always in the back of my mind somewhere. I always told myself that unless I was ready to marry him, that I would just keep being his friend. In December of 2019, it all fell together. In January of 2020 I told him I knew something he didn't. That I was going to marry him. He nodded and said okay. On February 28 2020, William led me on a treasure hunt. Placing treasure boxes at places that had changed our lives and kept us in orbit of one another until we were both ready for the next step. At the end of the hunt. At the last destination where we had our first date back together and his first sip of coffee, William got down on one knee and the rest as they say is history.
