Things To Do

The Washington D.C. and Central Virginia areas are beautiful at this time of year! Rillhurst Farm is located near Shenandoah National Park, one of our favorite places to enjoy the outdoors - and the place where we got engaged. In D.C. itself, you can enjoy the Smithsonian Museum system - all free! - dive into the food scene, and visit some of our favorite local shops.

Activities:

DC: Visit a Smithsonian museum Go for a hike in Rock Creek Park Visit the National Zoo Northern Virginia: Visit Shenandoah National Park See Luray Caverns Take a scenic drive along Skyline Drive Visit one of Virginia’s many wineries or breweries Take a stroll through downtown Culpeper

Restaurants

DC: Perry’s - sushi and inventive Japanese-inspired cocktails Call Your Mother - DC’s favorite bagel spot Lapis - Authentic Afghan cuisine in a hip neighborhood Queen’s English - innovative Cantonese cuisine and creative cocktails The Coupe - a neighborhood standard for brunch and coffee Stoney’s - if you’re looking for a neighborhood bar while you’re in town, go see Will’s workplace Northern Virginia: Grass Rootes - cocktails and good food, often with live music More restaurants in Culpeper can be found here: https://visitculpeperva.com/food-and-drink/ The Local (Charlottesville) - we went here to celebrate our engagement!

Shopping

DC: Lost City Books Shop Made In DC Northern Virginia: Culpeper’s adorable downtown is full of cute shops to check out. Here’s a list to get you started: https://visitculpeperva.com/thingstodo/main-street-shopping/
