Question

Wait, aren’t you two already married?

Answer

Yes! It’s true! On February 2, 2022 we decided to have a secret, small and intimate ceremony with only a few whitenesses. We are now ready to party with all our friends and family. We cannot wait to celebrate all of our love with you. This will be country glamping/camping styled wedding. Don’t worry, if neither version of camping is your style, we will provide you other suggested amenities for your stay.

Question

Is this Kiddo friendly?

Answer

ABSOLUTELY! This is a family event and Jaxon would love to have other kiddos to play with! Please let either of us know if we didn't include kiddos when you RSVP and we can make the proper changes for you.

Question

How fancy ARE we getting here?

Answer

Think formal/casual, Country/Boho style of attire. The Groom will be wearing jeans, but the Bride will be in a white dress. Our colors are turquoise, gray and black. Everyone attending is part of the wedding party :)

Question

How far is the venue from Truckee?

Answer

Ok friends and family, the venue is approximately 40 minutes from Truckee. During this time of year you should expect a lot of traffic in this area. So please be patient during your drive and enjoy the view of the valley along the way. There will be clearly marked directions which we will share with you what to look for as we get closer to the event weekend/day. (4/14/2023)

Question

I don’t know where to stay for the weekend….

Answer

Please note that as of 4/14/2023: There are no rooms available at the Globe Hotel in Sierraville for this weekend. There are various room options available at the Golden West Saloon, totaling in 12 rooms. You may book at https://www.goldenwest711.com/ This is an approximate 5 minute drive to the Wedding venue. There are 6 rooms available at the Gilded Drifter Inn. You may book at https://www.gildeddrifterinn.com/ This would be a great spot for a larger group who wants to stay together. Its ADORABLE! This is an approximate 5 minute drive to the Wedding venue. We do not have any "spots" reserved at any specific hotel in the area, however these hotels have been notified of the Leslie Wedding in the area when we called to check for availability. Please let us know if you need any further assistance with accommodations of the above is not helpful.

Question

Are we gonna party all weekend?

Answer

We have been blessed with a beautiful property for the weekend. While we do plan on celebrating the entire weekend with our loved ones, we also want to be respectful to the area and neighbors, so there will be quite times- just think camping quite hours.

Question

Is this event dog friendly?

Answer

For our fellow campers, you may bring your pupper(s). Day of the wedding, no dogs please. Leave them at camp. Camp location is not far from where the actually ceremony/reception will be held, so you can always go and check on them throughout the night. (4/14/2023)

Question

If I am camping, are there access to showers and or power?

Answer

There are no restroom facilities at this venue. However, we will have a porta-potty available on-site for everyones use. If you are camping, there are no hook-ups or power. Bring a generator if you think you will need it for your rig.

For all the days along the way
