Question
How will the day flow?
Answer
The wedding is at 11:00am in the morning at the SIUE Gardens. The Halloween costume reception starts at 7:00pm in the evening at the Troy Community Center. In between the wedding and the Halloween costume reception, you are on your own while we get the usual wedding photos, and put the finishing touches on our evening plans!

How should I prepare for the wedding?
Answer
The wedding is outside, rain or shine. In case of rain or snow, an umbrella and warm clothes is recommended. There is a stroll from the parking lot along the path to get to the wedding site (called The Lantern). There will be transportation (golf carts) available to shuttle those who need it to the site. Seating is limited, and the ceremony starts promptly at 11:00am. We ask that you be at the wedding site by 10:30am.

Is this one of those fancy wedding receptions with a dinner?
Answer
Not really. We'll have light snacks (nacho bar!!) and drinks (other bar!!) so eating before you come is probably a great idea. This will be "fancy" in that you should wear an awesome costume, and be prepared to have a great time!

Do I have to dress up for the after-party??

Do you like to be mocked and shamed for all eternity? No?? Then YES, yes you do.

What happens if I don't dress up for the after-party?

Aww, that's okay. We'll have some simple costumes, just for YOU!!

WHAT IS THE RECEPTION GOING TO BE LIKE?
Answer
We'll open the castle doors a little before 7p, and the wedding party will make their grand entrance shortly after 7p. There will be snacks and a nacho bar, as well as beverages. There will be music, dancing, and LOTS of costumes! The celebration goes from 7p until 11p, and you are welcome to come and go as you are able, but if you want to see the the grand entrance, come by 7p.
