Ashleigh and William met three separate times before anything really stuck. The first was at Strike & Reel, where they exchanged maybe six words in a group setting. The second was at a convention later that same year, when William recognized Ashleigh from before, leading to another short interaction. It wasn’t until a different convention that things actually clicked. When William didn’t have an assignment, Scott stepped in and connected him with a spot helping Carlos, which is where William and Ashleigh finally spent real time together. What started as a simple task turned into meaningful conversation, and that is when they became more than just familiar faces. After that, nothing happened right away. They had overlapping friend groups and saw each other here and there, but things stayed casual. Eventually, they started going to the gym together with friends, and that is where they really began to bond. Through music, movies, food, childhood similarities, and just about everything else, they built a strong connection, with music being one of the biggest things they shared. For a while, it stayed completely platonic. Until one day, after spending hours just talking, they both realized something had been there all along, something they had been ignoring since that first real conversation during the cleaning assignment. Thanks, Scott. From a few chance meetings to a friendship that grew into something more, their story is one they are grateful for and one they are excited to keep writing together.
