Matron of Honor
Leyna and Angela met in a women’s missional community at the Austin Stone. Leyna quickly became Angela’s bestie, most-trusted confidant, and favorite morning coffee date partner. The Lord 100000% used Leyna and her husband, Jules, to bring Will and Angela together. Without Leyna and Jules, there probably wouldn’t be a William and Angela!
Best Man
Josh is Will’s little brother. He has been Will’s best friend, his worst enemy, and everything in between. As brothers, the two of them grew up sharing interests and experiences, playing against each other in video games, building Legos, watching cartoons, and building Hot Wheels race tracks. To this day, he and Will continue to share a brotherly bond, play games together and share life advice, and find ways to make each other laugh.
Bridesmaid
Angela’s BFF since 6th grade, Breely and Angela (or “Brangie”) fell in love in 6th grade math making a pickle-themed board game together. Notable memories since then include: Angela driving straight to Breely’s house after getting her driver’s license, going to prom together, too many lunch dates at North Italia to count, and talking a LOT about boys. It is one of Angela’s sweetest joys to get to have Breely stand by her side on her wedding day.
Groomsman
Nicholas is best friends with Will and Cody. They’ve been inseparable since middle school in Colorado Springs. The three of them, as well as Nick’s little brother, road tripped to San Diego to celebrate graduating high school, and now look for as many opportunities as possible to continue to travel together. Today, Nick is a pianist and accompanist for Troy University and First Baptist Church of Troy. He and Will spend time online watching shows and playing games together, or just enjoying catching up.
Bridesmaid
Mansi is Angela’s fellow biomedical-engineer-turned-midwesterner and the two have wayyy too many of the best memories together. Some favorites include: knitting/crocheting sessions, spontaneously driving to Houston for lunch, and making each other’s birthday cakes (Mansi made cuter cakes). It is such a gift to Angela that Mansi has stayed driving distance away after college.
Groomsman
Cody is best friends with Will and Nicholas, and has been since middle school in Colorado Springs. Cody and Will bonded over basketball and video games, and Will has stayed involved and supportive of Cody as he has built his own advertising business from scratch. Today, Cody and Will like to spend time watching Star Wars or playing video games online.
Bridesmaid
One of Will’s old co-op roommates, Angela stole Kayla from Will and lived with her their senior year of college at UT. Living with Kayla is one of the best things to ever happen to Angela, so she has no regrets. Throughout that year, Kayla served as Angela’s bug-fighter, Super Mario Bros partner, and fellow french fry scorer.
Groomsman
Another of Angela’s biomedical engineering besties, Orhun was Angela’s tried-and-true study buddy through the turmoil of undergrad. Their friendship started when they sat next to each other one day in class and Angela said “Hey Orhun, I like your shirt” and Orhun responded with “Hey…I can’t think of anything to compliment about you right now” and Angela appreciated his honesty. Also, if you’ve ever heard about Angela’s favorite restaurant in Austin, Troy ATX, it’s owned and run by Orhun’s family!
House Party
The eldest of Angela’s sisters, Alice was often mistaken for Angela’s teen mom in childhood due to their 12-year age gap. Still a mix of a mom/older sibling figure, Alice has been a great source of married-sister wisdom to Angela throughout this season.
House Party
The eldest of Will’s sisters, Katelyn has often had to be a “parent” to Will and his siblings while Mom and Dad were away. Growing up she read Will bedtime stories, helped him with homework, and served as a role model with her maturity and patience when dealing with her siblings. Now she remains a fountain of wisdom in Will’s life, an inspiration for frugal tips and tricks, and a great friend.
House Party
The middle of the three Pak sisters, if you’ve ever thought “hey, Angela has decent taste in music for a 24-year-old” all credit goes to Alina for consistently refreshing the 10-12 songs that fit on Angela’s childhood mp3 player. Alina is also responsible for having introduced Angela to the only movie she regularly rewatches - Napoleon Dynamite.
House Party
Collene is the second child of the Larson family, and Will’s older sister. She looked after her younger brothers and got Will involved with theater in high school, helping him make many friends and grow into the man he is today. Collene moved in with Will when he moved to St Louis to start a new job. They grew closer over the time they spent together, and now bond over football, basketball, and their overlapping senses of humor.
