Way back in 2014, two blonde haired University at Buffalo students went to a home notorious for its parties, games, and themes; the swim house. Billy, a resident of the establishment and reknowned beer enthusiast, and Alexa, resident NARP of her freshman dorm (non-athlete regular person), quickly became acquainted over several rounds of beer pong, flip cup, and "chug relays", reveling in their competitive natures. Both served as friendly faces for the other to say hello to while partaking in the many parties hosted by the team. In the years following graduation, they each went through relationships and moved to different cities. Billy went to Syracuse for a few years and Alexa went back to Rochester, both happily working their first jobs out of college, putting their boots on the pavement for their careers. Then came 2020, and at the height of the dark ages Billy and Alexa became reacquainted, reuniting at a beach bar in “sunny” Rochester, somewhere considerable cleaner than the beloved swim house. Conversations flowed as they bonded over their college experiences, travel stories, and the Buffalo Bills. Soon after that fated date, the pair realized they were in love and no amount of driving would keep them apart. Two years, 3 residences and a lot of love later, Billy stood at the Sunken Garden, determined to ask Alexa the most important question of their lives. However, Alexa being Alexa, simply could not believe it. Upon entering the Garden, Alexa was shocked by the sight, believing it to be someone else's special day and quickly turning to "runaway" before she ruined a surprise. Little did she know, the surprise was for her! To Billy's relief and NO ONE'S surprise Alexa said yes!
