They say you shouldn't date at work, but thankfully we never followed such advice. It all began during a Christmas Breakfast at work, when Aarthi met the team in person for the first time and subsequently joined soon after. Fast forward a few awkward attempts at flirting in the office, and few hot and cold moments when trying to juggle romance and work, the first 'date' happened... if you could call it such.

Dating is usually rough, but it didn't seem that hard. Different cultures but same goals. Sharing the ups and the downs the whole time keeping things calm at work. It felt like our own little game. Never knowing if we were winning or losing, just that we were happy.

A new year and a new life, that was the plan. This plan sounded good in theory, but scary in practice. Knowing the answer doesn't make the question easy. Ring in hand, an excuse to take a picture, and the kindness of strangers who helped make a memory. We headed to Disneyland on New Year's Day to get our picture in front of the Christmas tree before it was taken down. Roping the photographer in at the last minute it was time for the big moment. The question was asked, the answer was excessive nodding, tears, and no words. A wonderful moment that words failed to describe.
