FAQs

Question

How far out should I book my lodging?

Answer

The resort begins filling up as far as 9 months in advanced, so we suggest as soon as you are comfortable to begin planning to book your lodging for the weekend.

Question

Are there things I can do on Friday and Saturday?

Answer

Absolutely! Explore the Red River Gorge throughout both days if possible. Wedding activities for individuals not in the wedding will begin after 3pm.

Question

What is black tie formal?

Answer

Black tie formal means men are in suits and ties and women are in more formal longer gowns. We want people to be comfortable and enjoy their time but also have no one feel underdressed and left out of the festivities.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Please feel free to bring the kids. Fair warning though - the bride and groom do not want to be responsible if they are exposed to some fun partying that they aspire to reach in their lives!

Question

What is the transportation like?

Answer

Our goal is to have golf carts to help our special guests that may need extra accommodations. Cabins are within walking/very short drive of the reception, so no one should be traveling more than 5 minutes to get back to their room. Please be aware of this and safety concerns related to this.

Question

Is there a color I shouldn't wear?

Answer

No! There will be a lot of colors throughout the wedding. Anything other than white and you will be in the clear!

Question

What is the attire for the "Welcome Party"?

Answer

The wedding party will be dresses nicely from rehearsal dinner, but we know after a long travel the last thing you want to do is dress up. Please come in comfort and ready to relax and spend time together.
