We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! Here's what to expect on our wedding day: Our wedding ceremony will be at Glen Cary Lutheran Church (15531 Central Avenue NE, Ham Lake). This is the moment we officially say "I do!" Then head over to The Refuge Golf Club (21250 Yellow Pine Street NW, Oak Grove) to kick off the Social Hour. We’re hosting beer, wine, and our 3 signature cocktails, a cash bar is also available. Then it's time to hit the dance floor! The dance ends at 11 p.m. but the memories will last forever! We can't wait to share this amazing day with you!
Will & Haley had been living/working in the same areas, going to the same places, for three years before we finally matched on Hinge in March 2020. One week into talking, the world shut down. We got to know each other for two months before we finally met in person and 'officially' started dating. Haley really made Will earn it (at least that’s what he likes to say). Their first date was walking around the farm, playing Battleship on the deck, and grilling chicken kabobs. It wasn’t an awkward first date, because it felt like Will & Haley knew each other forever. After a couple more dates, Will asked Haley to 'officially' be boyfriend and girlfriend. We began experiencing a list of firsts together: first pandemic, first time virtually dating via FaceTime; and through those experiences, we became best friends. We bonded over our love of sports, cooking, and Haley’s 'covid garden' adventures. One of the first questions Haley asked Will was, "If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?" He said Hawaii, so naturally 6 months into dating, we experienced another first: Will’s first commercial plane ride, first time in Hawaii, and first time seeing the ocean. Since then we've spent the past four years crossing off more oceans, states, adventures, and firsts off the list: Will has been traveling to exotic places like Hawaii, Florida, North Carolina, Las Vegas, and Lake Tahoe; coming to dog training classes with Haley for Oliver & Willow; while Haley is busy learning more gardening techniques, how to take care of a cat when Will introduced her to Hank, canning/preserving produce, fishing in Canada, and supporting Will with his wild hobby farming ideas like garlic. And of course, many dates have been spent at the ballpark watching the Minnesota Twins.
The engagement took place on a Saturday morning in July. Will & Haley had taken Maggie to a Twins game and before Maggie headed home, Will suggested taking Maggie out for breakfast at Carol’s in Blaine. They woke up Saturday, fed the dogs, and got ready for breakfast. Before leaving, we both needed to let the dogs out to do their business. Will put a note on the “South Fork” - and started walking the dogs there with Haley, who then noticed the note attached to the building. She found it odd, because who uses bright red paper? Upon closer inspection - it was actually a handwritten note from Will asking Haley to be his bride. Right at the very spot where their first date began, he popped the question. She said, “Of course,” and Will surprised her with an engagement party and both of their families. He coordinated everything and even got her grandparents and Reid & Kyley into town without Haley knowing!
