We're Getting Married

We met a baseball tournament in Tennessee. While Nathan would say Anna went to watch him play baseball and immediately fell in love with his long hair, Anna didn't know who Nathan was. Anna went to hang out with her sister and watch her brother-in-law play baseball. Thanks to a broken bus, Anna and Nathan had plenty of time to meet, talk, and laugh in an empty parking lot post game. Later Anna did admit she thought "Shelton" was cute. The rest is history!

It was Memorial Day weekend and the weather was perfect. After spending most of the weekend outside on Nathan's family's farm, Anna's parents arrived on Sunday night. We all had dinner together and decided to show them around. The sun was beginning to set and Nathan told me we needed to move a piece of equipment from one barn to another. We broke off from the group and headed to the barn. Instead of going inside, we walked right past it into a field where he got down on one knee. It was perfect. A moment we both will never forget! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our life with you. See you in Iowa!
