Our ceremony venue is quite small and can only hold 70 people. While we love all your kids, there are a lot of them and if we included kids in the ceremony there are many other loved ones that would not be able to join us. Kids are welcome at the reception in hopes that if you are not able to find child care to join us for the ceremony you can all still join us and celebrate for the reception. Thank you for your respect and understanding with this!
We have elected to do a true first look meaning Mike does not want to see me prior to walking down the isle. Because of this we will need some time after the ceremony to do pictures. We understand this can be an inconvenience for guests however, you are in a beautiful state park with lots to explore! We recommend taking some time to walk around and adventure. If this is not your style, you can head back to Silver Bay and hang out at the lounge or head to where you are staying and change into something a little more comfortable for the reception if you desire. If you are wanting to head a little further south Two Harbors has lots of shops you can check out with the best coffee shop on the North Shore (White Pine Market). If you are not staying overnight and need somewhere to change or want to hang out that isn't a bar please let us know and we can help you out!
There will be a bus available to shuttle/provide a safe ride home for people following the reception.
We are keeping our special day intimate with our closest friends and family. Guests are extremely limited and if you have a plus one it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP. Thank you for checking and respecting these wishes!
Both events will be taking place indoors.
The ceremony will begin at 3pm. We recommend you arrive by 2:45pm to make sure everyone is seated by the time the ceremony starts. The reception is scheduled to begin at 6pm with a cocktail hour beginning at 5pm. We would recommend you arrive by 6pm so you are ready for the grand entrance!
We're hosting an adults-only ceremony, but kids are welcome at the reception. When you RSVP, indicate the number of children joining you. Please bring only your own children, not additional kids. Thank you in advance for your understanding regarding this!
Ceremony dress code is dressy casual. We want you comfortable but please avoid sweatpants and light wash jeans. The reception is come as you are/whatever you are most comfortable in! Regarding colors, we only ask that you avoid wearing white. If you would like to match the wedding scheme feel free to wear soft pastels (dusty rose, matcha green, mauve, etc.). Think spring!
