Engagement Story- Jenna had just moved from California to Austin, Texas with her job at Apple in 2021. After only a few months of being in Texas she felt like her heart was being called back to Maryland. She traveled home for the holidays where this feeling became more and more apparent. One day in particular sticks out, On January 1st, 2022 Jenna begged her mom to take her to Harpers Ferry in the pouring rain because she had an intention bracelet she had been saving since she received it as a gift in 2019. Reluctant to hike 5 miles in the rain her mom being the ever so supportive woman she is got in the car and rode 1 hour to Harper’s Ferry. Jenna hiked to a very specific spot in Harper’s Ferry where she felt like her heart was calling her to go, she sat in the pouring rain writing down 3 intentions for the following year “1.I will get a new job and be promoted” “2. I will find the love of my life and 3. I will move home from Texas to Maryland.” Well just 2 months later she was offered a job back in Maryland where she very soon met the love of her life Joshua. 10 Months after that Joshua and Jenna went on their first date which was very soon followed by a second date where Jenna’s spot quickly became “Their Spot” in Harpers Ferry. Over the next few years they traveled to their spot many times with their dog Rainey. 3 years later in April of 2025 Joshua surprised Jenna by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him in that exact spot. The rest is history!
