Travel Note
The St Pierre de Serjac estate lies between the villages of Pouzolles and Magalas in the Languedoc / Occitanie region of southwest France. It is 35 minutes from the coast and 25 minutes from Béziers, the closest city with an airport and train station. Check-in begins at 5pm the day of your arrival. The Chateau can store bags and luggage during the day if you arrive before check-in. Helpful Info - Before leaving your major city to head to the venue, we recommend making sure your phone is charged and that you have enough gas in your rental car. Google maps works on all roads leading to the venue! Beziers is a major city 25 minutes from the venue. This is a great option for last minute items! This city has many cute cafes to sit outside and have an espresso or spots to grab a bite. On Saturdays, there is a street market selling vintage clothes, jewelry, books, and antiques! The closest major shopping mall is in called Polygone, also in Beziers. It's a beautiful open air mall with several stores and food options, including some unique french stores and some that you probably know. For my girlies that forget anything - there is a Zara, Mango, and many others! If you are looking for a fun place to stop for a bite, there is a food hall called Les Halles de Beziers. There are many different kinds of foods and wine bars within this dining hall! The venue also has a pool! If you arrive before check in and want to lay by the pool, it will be helpful to have a swimsuit easily attainable. There is also a tennis court, and we'll have tennis rackets out for you! Villas have a full kitchen/dining area should you decide to bring any extra items or plan to cook in your villa. Each room is €319 per night, and that same rate is available if you are planning to stay with us Sunday night as well.
Flight
Béziers has the closet airport, but you can typically only fly in from the UK or EU. We flew in to Béziers from London for our visit last October. This airport is only about 25-30 minutes from the venue. You can rent a car at the airport, take a cab, or we may be able to hire a shared van once we know everyones travel plans. Montpellier is the closest major airport that takes longer-range flights from the U.S. That's about an hour drive from the venue. Depending on your origin and travel schedule, you may find a more convenient time to fly into Toulouse (2hrs), Carcassonne (1.5hrs), or Narbonne (45mins). Please let us know when you plan to arrive, as we'll do our best to coordinate shared van or bus travel from the airport.
Train
By Train: You can access Béziers by train from Paris, Barcelonna, or really any city around the area. It's about a 5-6 hour train ride from Paris or about 2-2.5 hours from Barcelona. Please let us know when you plan to arrive, as we'll do our best to coordinate shared van or bus travel from the train station.
Rental Car
We found that there are several extra charges and fees if you plan to book a rental car in another country like Spain, with the idea of driving it into and leaving it in France. Therefore, if you plan to rent a car, we suggest you do so in France. Please remember to ask if the car takes gas or diesel, what number you'd request at the pump, and if you need any diesel exhaust fluid, typically called AdBlue. Please also check the car phone charger port, so if you have a longer drive ahead of you after a long day of travel, you have a way to charge your phone.
