Bogus Basin is a ski resort located 40 minutes up from Boise via a windy access road. There, one can enjoy some (seasonal) snow, hiking, biking, and views.

We recommend renting bikes and stopping here along the green belt. Can also visit a number of breweries (and disc golf course) nearby.
Travel outside of Boise!
If this is your first time in Idaho and you will be here a few days, we are surrounded by some stunning areas. Mccall, ID (2 hours north) Stanley, ID (3 hours)- stunning lakes, mountains, rivers, hot springs Idaho City (1 hr) - little old western town with lots of trees
Pine Flats Campground
Around 1.5 hours away, 0.5 mile chill hike to amazing hot springs.
Hot Springs Campground boise
The closest hot springs to Boise. Around an hour drive, across from the campground there is 1 hot spring pool above the river
